I went to an all-boys school, breaking the color barrier at Milton Hershey School in Pennsylvania back in the 1960’s. It shaped the way to think to this day. My philosophy is to NEVER give up on the problem child. Most of the time they have something inside yearning to come out. I know, I was one of them.
As for Fishburne, I’m always impressed with the way the staff works together for a common goal. It teaches the cadets respect, responsibility and leadership – all the things needed to have a chance at life. Personally, I love to help young people reach places within themselves they never thought they had.
CREDENTIALS
I am proud to be among the state of Virginia’s winningest wrestling coaches with a career record of +400-77. I have coached 2 undefeated teams numerous conference championships and 16 state individual state champions along with being named coach of the year 17 times during my career. I have coached both nationally and internationally and prior to coming to Fishburne, I coached at Washington and Lee University. I also hold a Master of Business Administration from Lincoln University.
INTERESTS
I enjoy fishing and photography. I love spending time with my grandchildren, great grandchildren and wife of more than 40 years.
